Overview: Lots of up and down hill hiking, lots of unsteady rock as well. You can run/jog the trail with some decent footwear.You have to park across East Thunderbird in a business lot and cross the street.

Closest intersection is Cave Creek and E. Thunderbird/Cactus. E. Thunderbird is on the West side of Cave Creek and Cactus is on the East side. There is a large sign on E. Thunderbird about a block West of Cave Creek. Sign says "North Mountain Preserve"
