If you do go up Col Devin from Washington Park you should check out the Railroad Tunnel. He was called Eddy (last name).

Up until just about 15 yrs ago, that area was still widely used by ranchers to free range their cattle. I think Kemper Marley was also grazing sheep on there in the 90's to avoid higher property taxes. I remember the fence being put up, the sheep and security guards before they started building the...

The land exchange includes the 6L ranch along Cave Creek. Resolution says that's a valuable property... Yet it is completely inaccessible since Spur Cross was created. :roll:

Yep, it avoids the creek quite a bit. Starts from the glyphs. It's been there a while but was a fainter route 18 years ago :)

Yes, there will be plenty of water out there.
Camp here: good campsite away from the trail and near La Barge: 33.472731 -111.365752
If you want to add a little extra, I recommend going down Needle canyon to Boulder cyn on day 2 but it is off trail with packs...
