Re: Devils Canyon Still Open?

Rick might know more on access as he was there in March. You might send him a PM as he may not read the forum. No gear is required, there are bypasses to the major drops. Re: best map choices

yes into the GPX folder, not the microSD Sounds like you are on your way! You can learn how to set a nice HAZ background here http://hikearizona.com/dex2/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=7206 ( the black is best for contrast ) One thing I find nice too is to rearrange the buttons to what I use most Setup > ...

Re: Segment 37 Grand Canyon - South Rim

in this map http://hikearizona.com/map.php?QX=2654 Google calls the blue road FR314, topo calls it 2709. It crosses the #37 at 10.3mi northbound. While it looks pretty good on satellite it has "vertical" numbering which means it could be 4x4. FR302 has horizontal numbering which is simple ...

Re: Oregon 550 for $257

Oregons rock! Don't be shy with any digital camera. You can sync your photos on HAZ to a posted GPS Route with a couple clicks. Be sure your camera is set to the correct date/time for easiest syncing. Then you end up with nice maps like this one . Viewing your backpack photoset you will notice a red...

On the same token I enjoy the priceless expressions after busting out a move from those good ol' pink-polo ghetto-blaster days of '84 teva_dance.jpg Eight D batteries would last all d...
