Thanks, I'll do that. Research is part of the fun for me.

Re: A Mazatzal divide-willow springs-deadman-sheep loop

Yes from Peeley, I'm just trying to avoid a straight out and back, maybe I'll come back to Davenport wash and drop to Sheep for a smaller loop back. I don't mind a bit of a challenge as long as time allows or I may just take six days and go for it. But By bad shape, do you mean overgrown? Are the tr...

A Mazatzal divide-willow springs-deadman-sheep loop

Thinking about doing this in late April, allowing for 4-5 hiking days. Probably leave early enough to start hiking no later than noon the first day and realize I'll be packing water but is there and where is there dependable water? Re: A Santa Rita loop

Thanks, I was wondering about Baldy saddle but one report I had read told of a very windy night. Was that just misfortune and not the norm?

A Santa Rita loop

I'm thinking of a Super/Crest/Four Springs/(Bog?)/pipeline/super loop. Anybody been there, done that? And how about a mid-way campsite, any suggestions? I'll be going this weekend or next. It's my first time in the Santa Ritas, and my sons going with me. :y:

Re: Thrift store scores

I'm constantly on the prowl in thrift stores. I just picked up some Merrell ascent hikers in very good condition for $15. Thank you Good Will.
