Police finally let nudity-loving hiker roam free.
Stephen Gough, aka the “Naked Rambler,” is fond of strolling sans clothes across the U.K., a hobby which has landed him in frequent trouble with the law. The temperature-impervious former Marine was recently released from jail after serving a total of 657 days for favoring his birthday suit. Every time he has been released previously, police have arrested him within 60 seconds for exiting his jail naked. This time, however, Gough promptly stripped off upon leaving prison and Scottish police finally looked the other way, leaving him a free man. Gough, 53, now plans to see his kids and his mother, presumably unclothed, saying, "I am not going to give up. Stay naked is the word."

Sheriff tells hikers to ignore naked runners on nature trails

Being one with nature inspires certain folks to go au naturel. The Garfield Country Sheriff's Office in Colorado is warning residents about recent sightings of nude men -- some of them out for a run -- on local paths. "With the beautiful weather we have had the last few weeks, it's no surprise our bike paths and trails have seen an increase of activity," the sheriff noted in a press release about the indecent-exposure uptick. However, at a community meeting Tuesday night, the sheriff also urged residents not to stop hiking: "Be a little more prepared, be a little more aware, take some precautions, but you need to do what you enjoy in life." Like exercise in the buff.
