Compass Navigation

Postby DoFear » Sep 20 2003 8:27 pm

I saw that someone was doing a compass course but I missed it. Can this be put on again if we have enough interest? I have read alot about and used it a bit but I already knew where I was so I feel like I'm cheating. :D

We did a map and compass class a little while back. It was a good time.

Really though, your off to a good start. Learning to orient yourself in a place your already familiar with is the best way to get a feel for the map and compass. There are a lot of really good books on the subject. The best one I've seen is the Sierra Clubs guide to orienteering. (navigation is on water, orientation is on land).
