Hammock hikes

Postby Mattrgrs12 » Aug 08 2012 8:34 am

What are some of the better trails to do an overnight with a hammock? Myself and a few friends have had a hammock for awhile but still have not had a chance to use them. obviously somewhere with a good amount of trees but i know there are a few people on here who are avid hammock users and just wanted opinions of some of the better trails or areas.

the Pinal mtns are a good place since you live E. valley.

truth be told, in many of our deserts' riparian areas (in which most hikers seek, due to available water) you will many times find it easier to hang than find a suitable tent spot.

in the transition areas and above, trees are no issue.
some of us are doing a trip along the cabin loop, you should either a) join us or b) drool over the soon to be published photosets.

happy hanging! :D

I will probably have to drool over the photosets this time around haha... however, I'm on my way to bag mt Whitney this weekend so in the mean time you can drool over my upcoming photoset ;) Thanks for the advice.
