Easy overnight hike, climb, rappell trip

Postby Froth » Apr 05 2010 3:50 pm

I'm looking for an overnight trip. I'd like to hike, climb, rappell and maybe even bike. Know of any all-inclusive hikes? How about Mt Lemon in Tucson? Difficulty level doesnt matter.

You have a few choices near Tucson. Cochise Stronghold to the south, La Milagrosa Canyon out east, and Molino campground on Lemmon. All of these spots have easy hikes, camping, bike-friendly trails, climbing, and raps nearby. If you want or need bolts I'd lean toward Molino...

I was imagining you biking somewhere, doing a 5.7 route with your bike dangling from a daisy, hiking to a canyon, and rappelling the canyon carrying the bike.

The only thing better would be a BASE jump on the bike instead of the rap... :y:

I dunno, can you? :D

Can I have one?

(Yes, you can have a fire in most of those areas. Check with ranger station.)

The last I heard there were no fire restrictions in Coronado, but you might not know until you get there and see a big blue sign at the camping area.
