My swimming dogs choice

My swimming dogs choice

Postby AnthonyPowell » Aug 28 2003 1:20 pm

I was wondering if anyone knows of a 2-3 mile hike with a swim at the end. My dog put me up to this. Something mild he enjoys the payoff more than the work you have to put in. Phoenix area would be great.

Another good one might be the Tonto Narrows. The hike can be as long or as short as you want, and there is swimming (some mandatory) along almost the entire trail. The only problem is its about an hour outside of phx and the first two miles or so generally tend to be crowded.

In response to AnthonyPowell's reply:

Try Parson's Creek or the Bell trail. Both are great hikes with lots of water. Both can be pretty hot in the summer.
