Sedona area Hikes

Postby kgmolson » Jan 19 2008 12:13 pm

What are your favorite Sedona hikes?

I have found a new love for Sedona and have made many trips from Phoenix, just wondering what hikes some folks here really dig.

some of my favorites are:

Bear Mountain: Challanging and killer views all the way!!!

Cathedral Rock: Love running up the slick rock, the views at the saddle are simply amazing.

Doe Mountain: Easy warm up/ Cool down hike to great views at the top.

I am also becoming quite fond of some of the canyon hikes, such as Fay and Boyton... I like the side trails that shoot you up the canyon walls to nice views...

so waddya say Hike AZ!!! Lets hear em.

I haven't done much hiking around Sedona, but I did seriously enjoy Honaki and Palatki ruins. But then, that's just the sort of fellow I am.

My two favorites are West Fork and Boynton Canyon. Both are AWESOME!

The West Fork is breathtakingly beautiful. I really need to get back out to Sedona and climb some of those mountains. I've only done a handful of hikes along the creek and in the canyons.
