Aravaipa swims?

Postby renshiwo » Apr 04 2006 1:29 pm

Noticed that a couple of trip logs reported pools that had to be swum. Has anyone been through lately? Have these pools cleared out?

In response to renshiwo's reply:
Not since October, but no swimming was required then, when staying in the creekbed.
Also, FYI - When it is scoured out, there is a bypass on creek-right that leads you up and around the pool(s), so no swimming is ever really"required".

I was on the west end a few weeks ago. I hiked as far as Booger Canyon and did not cross water deeper than my shins. It is probably safe to assume you won't have to swim.

I've been there twice, never had to do any swims, mostly ankle deep water and a few knee deep spots. There is a small pool or two that you can find cool off in, but nothing you would have to swim if you didn't want too.
