There was an article in the Fountain Hills Times yesterday about plans to connect the Sunrise Trail in the McDowells to the newly built system of trails in the Fountain Hills Preserve. There isn't a digital version of the story available without subscription, but here's a .pdf of the front page of the paper with part of the story on it. They're expecting construction to start late 2011/early 2012 and the segment will be about 1.5 miles one way.
