National Geographic TOPO Question

National Geographic TOPO Question

Postby Sredfield » May 26 2011 9:23 pm

Does anyone know how to change the waypoint label font, type, color and size? I can't find it in the manual or online.

thanks

Not exactly sure what you're asking. If it's about "symbols" that you place on the map in Topo!, you can right click and select the "modify style" button and go from there.

If you are talking about actual waypoints which is what your GPS imports, you can only turn them on and off, which is a setting available in the Preferences under Waypoint Label Display. You can select exactly what information displays (name, coordinates, etc.), but not how it appears.

I generally keep mine turned off because if I need to know what it is I can right-click on it, and if I upload it to my GPS it shows up there with the name anyway.

I'm putting waypoints on maps to print and use. The font label is blue Times Roman at about 12 points. I want to change this but can't find where it's done. Thanks

You could just use the "Text Tool" (Abc on the top bar).
This allows you change your fonts around.

That would work, but there are several hundred waypoints that mark passages and land marks on the AZT :?

You may want to join a user group and ask your questions to those that potentially know more.

Here's some possible groups within Yahoo... I'm sure the HAZers out there have some other choices as well.
