Night mtn. biking.

Postby Nighthiker » Nov 03 2005 8:11 am

Went on a night mtn bike ride out in the Mineral Mtn. area SE of Florence Junction. Rode to the old town site of Reymert and head off up cottonwood canyon to the site of the Ajax and Woodpecker mine. The weather right now is perfect for night excursions out on the desert.

In response to Nighthiker's reply: Should have taken a black light there. Those mines are full of fluorescent minerals.. I went that area once at night and saw all kinds of colors of minerals. The only ones that I can think of right now is calcite and fluorite...
