Pinal Mtn. Fire

Pinal Mtn. Fire

Postby Nighthiker » Oct 09 2002 9:42 pm

A fire broke out in the Pinal Mts. (located south of Globe) several days ago. The lightning caused fire is called the Tower fire. I noted the smoke from the fire the past two days in the East Mesa area. This area has had two large fires the past two years, I hope the fire crews can get containment soon.

I kept thinking I saw smoke out that way. Thanks for the info! Any updates out there?

I heard today that their were two fires, one near the top that is under control and another one on the west flank of the mtn. near Simpson Lake. Noted a lot of smoke this afternoon.

It is pretty incredible how your olfactory senses come back when you quit smoking cigarettes.

Sorry. Just had to get a good word in.
