Sad news

Postby olesma » Sep 01 2003 9:20 pm

Short post:

We lost our baby. We found out she didn't have a heartbeat on Sunday night and she was delivered stillborn on Monday morning.

We miss you Samantha Lynn. We will see you again some day.

My heart and prayers go out to you and your family. A loss such as this is devistating. Hold onto each other and know that God is there for you and loves you and will help you through this.... Psalms 121 is a verse that helped me greatly when dealing with the loss of my mother at a young age. God promises to be your help.

I wished I had the words Olesma, but for once, I find myself speechless. You will see her again one day.

That's horrible. I know how excited you were to have a little girl. My thoughts are with you, your wife and Caleb.

Definately brought tears to my eyes - I'll never forget about the couple that used a hiking forum to help come up with their daughter's name! I've gained a great respect and admiration for you after reading your posts last few weeks. So sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family. Hang in there.

Thank you all for your well wishes.

It has been difficult for both of us. Strangely it seems that different aspects of it affect each of us in different ways. Where I am weak, she seems to be strong and vise versa. This has helped us a great deal.

All our family and close friends have been very supportive, and we have had a humbling outpouring of sympathy, well wishes, prayers, thoughts and offers of service from many people. More than we would have ever anticipated. This has also been a great comfort.

You may see some light posting from me for a couple of weeks. But I still am coming in and reading what you have to say. Having a sense of normality is a great comfort as well - and you wonderful folks at HAZ help to lift the burden as I read about other goings on.

The world, fortunately, did not end. It is still a beautiful place, and there are still wonderful people and blessings aplenty in our lives. We are simply missing one person to enjoy it all with. However, our belief is that we will be with her again, and our joy will be full.

Again - thank you all. Words cannot describe adequately my gratitude.

Look at the many lives little Samantha Lynn has touched, look at the strength little Samantha Lynn has been for her Mother, God makes no mistakes, little Samantha Lynn's life, although short, touched people in ways that only the Lord knows.

God will give you your strength, wisdom, and comfort. I'm sorry for your loss, but I know little Samantha Lynn is home, and she is safe.

Sad news

Postby SUN_HIKER » Sep 03 2003 4:28 pm

Haven't logged in for a while and just read the sad news. So sorry, you and your wife will be in my prayers. I don't think there is anything worse than a parent losing a child, I can't imagine. Although it's dark now - tomorrow will be a new day and each day a little brighter.
