Water Pipe Break!

Postby Abe » Nov 09 2003 2:30 pm

:x Talk about the luck of the day! This morning woke up at around 0430, ritual Sunday morning; make the coffee, start my laundry, sit on my butt and watch early morning classic movies. Then, later, take my little girl for a small hike in Fain Park. The hike never happened! :(

At around 0615, went to get some water and damn!, no water pressure, no water. :o What the heck happened since I woke up.

Well, to make a long story short, since 0630 after finding water gushing out of the ground near our house, I've been working on the water line break and I am glad to say, we now have water in our home again.

Another successful domesticated job done again. Fingers crossed.

In response to Abe's reply:

I can relate all too well. I walked into the basement of my house in CT and found myself wondering when I installed an inground pool there. The hot water heater burst and leaked 50 gallons all over. What a *&^% mess. Of course it was a holiday weekend, in WINTER and everything was closed. We went three days with no hot water.....in CT and 20 degrees out.

Glad you were able to fix yours.

Hey abe-
Sorry to hear about your luck. I guess if there is a positive side, it at least happened when you were home. Imagine it happened just as you left for a three day backpack. I dunno, just trying to put a good spin on it.

And talk about bad luck. DId you see that person that was being med-evac'd via helicopter from the white mountains after a car crash last week? On the way to a valley hospital, the chopper crashed. Talk about a bummer day.

It ended well--that's all that really matters.
