The canyon isn't really all that narrow for the majority of it's length. It does have some steep sheer walls. I don't recall on flat spots for camping. There's likely some small stagnant pools at best.
It's a wonderful place. It seems most come looking for Paria narrows or an Aravaipa creek bed yet fail to notice one of the most beautiful
sections of desert on earth. It's a great day hike, though I don't know it'd be that grand for backpacking.
