It's too bad that people here forget how to drive when they see rain.

You have received 6 inches already??? WOW! We have had slow and steady rain all day so far and it is .7 inches here. And is soaking good into the ground. We will see what we get since we are under a flash flood watch. It is coming down about .25 inches an hour or so my rain gauge says.

I'm glad it waited until I was gone. Rain threatened a couple times when my rental car was parked places where it could have been stranded for a while.

1.65" in my tempe yard this morning.

sorry to see the snow levels didn't come down. sunrise webcam looks like even at 9300 feet it's only been snowing for a little while. nws had originally forecasted 28-40 inches of snow above 9000 ... i don't think that happened.

chriscreek webcam looks like some nice runoff though. 3.58" there is a nice total.

I just got back from Jacks Canyon near Winslow. I drove up there yesterday in the rain. All of the creeks and drainages that pass under the Beeline were flowing real good. The East Verde was raging! There were quite a few waterfalls coming off the Mogollon Rim as well. Really cool. A little bit of snow up there as well. Saturday night was more of a wind event than rain. Today was freakin' gorgeous; totally sunny and warm...perfect for a few hard rock climbs and getting engaged.

Sorry. Had to throw that in there.

My view of 4peaks is obscured this morning, but there's a fresh blanket of thick wet snow covering every surface as low as Christopher Creek. Doesn't look like it in Payson though. (dschur?)

I'm headed up to cut a tree today and will let you know how it goes up there!

In case anyone is wondering, Peralta Road was flash flooding @3 feet this morning about a mile and a half from the trailhead and First Water and the Apache Trail were flash flooding at about a foot within a short distance of their intersection.

High clearance could probably make First Water or Apache Trail, but it was not possible on Peralta to do safely in any vehicle.

If anyone goes out there this afternoon, could you post the conditions, thanks.

I hiked upper First Water Creek this morning. Although the creek crossings on the road seemed really high, we saw several sedans make it. By the time we drove out at 4:00pm, the creek crossings on the road had lowered quite a bit. Farther upstream the creek was still running really high, though.
