different trail.

what about Canyon Lake TH to Peralta Trailhead? 3 days 2 nights? will there be water this time of year, is there rabbits out here? what about other small game? are the trails hard to find? where can i get a good detailed map?

Canyon Lake to Peralta can be done in a day, but you could make it as long as you want and take your time. The Supes are starting to come into season.

There is likely water in LaBarge creek along Boulder Canyon since there was quite a bit upstream.

The trail through Boulder Canyon can be difficult to find in places and the exit where Boulder meets the Dutchman is likely to be missed. The rest are probably in a little better shape.

thanks everyone for your help. I am 17 my brother is 15 we will be heading out with in 30 days here. I was thinking of bringing an air rifle, bad idea?? also im going to be taking a loop kinda, just mixing the trails up..basicly the same all the way down till you get to Trail #104 then North through #241 then #236 then back onto 103 to canyon lake?

I'd leave it at home and pack your own food. In the Supes, you'd end up spending all of your time hunting and none hiking. It'd be way too hard to hunt out there.

could i get close enought to a rabbit on the trail? what would be some good food to bring? I got alot of MRE's

Do you plan on killing the rabbits with slingshots? That would be sweet.

Have you ever killed a rabbit, skinned, gutted, cooked and ate it? Just navigating through the superstitions and finding enough good water to drink may be difficult enough for your first trip. In fact why don't you just day hike some of the trails first to familiar yourselves with the superstitions and the conditions that you will have to deal with out there.

yes i can skin, gut cook and eat a rabbit, its not hard. im still bringing the air rifle. ill just keep it close if i see one. if not oh well.
