RAIN in Scottsdale!!

RAIN in Scottsdale!!

Postby Mike » Jul 03 2002 8:59 am

I stepped out my door this morning and the first thing I noticed was the wonderful smell of RAIN! It didn't appear to have rained for long, or hard, but it definitely rained at my place sometime during the wee morning hours!

On the way to work, I drove through two small showers. The first one was on Scottsdale Rd between Greenway & T'bird, only lasted about 30 seconds, and was only a few drops. The second was on Hayden Rd, south of Shea, for about 2 minutes and was fairly hard. I even had to use my wipers!! :D

Let's hope there's lots more where that came from!!

Through the grapevine I heard it's raining in the Heber area and they are letting everyone go home!

It was raining in North Scottsdale (Dynamite Rd) this morning and people were actually tooting their horn in joy! Let's hope we have a good monsoon this year.

Our CEO drives a jeep. This morning he drove in with the top off. Of course he got soaked, so he came over to our department and to borrow a company polo shirt to change into.

It just rained on my car while I was inside eating lunch. I came out and smelled that sweet smell of wet desert - but I didn't get to see any of it.

Sad for me

Rained in glendale HARD!

The drops were about the size of my head.... only lasted for a few minutes, but the ground was soaked and puddles were on the streets.

Yippeee!

I was driving between jobs in Tempe between 11:00-11:30. It started pouring at Elliot and Rural. I pulled into the YMCA pulled my running clothes out of the car went in to change and got in about three miles before it stopped. It was raining so hard I could hardly see! It was absolutely wonderful! Best run I had in a long, long time.
