joe bartels wrote:Very exciting! The "Tony Ranch" article under "Longer Stories" on their website is a fabulous read in itself. I'll read the others in time, as I want to savor each.
Here's the book!

now im curious to know if the trough/corral down near Paradise Spring is one they built also

I communicated with Jack yesterday to congratulate him on his new book, find out about any additional book signings and to see what was in the pipeline......
"Kurt,
The November 7th and 8th book signing at the SMHS Museum is the only event that we plan to do this year. It is a two day event with many authors that write about the Superstition Mountains.
We are trying not to divert our efforts from writing and research for the next year. We have been working on a revised Hiker's Guide to the Superstition Wilderness, which we titled Superstition Wilderness Trails West. It will be the companion book to Trails East. We hope to have that finished by the end of 2010, but that is a tight schedule. We will include several new hikes on the official trails, but the new stuff will mostly be off trail treks. It will be similar to the Trails East book with GPS data, elevation charts, and more history and probably an additional 32 pages."
