lost jacket on parker creek trail 160

I lost a black columbia snow jacket on feb. 20th, while hiking the parker creek trail. Presumably it was ripped from my pack while negotiating one of the many fallen trees on the trail.

I never know for sure what to do with obviously good items found on a trail. Saw a nice one once on a trail south of Globe, left it. Other times I've hauled the item to the TH. Saw a bike lock cable near Lost Ranch the last week, left it too. What's the "right" thing to do?
