hi all i'm new to backpacking an would like any tips you can give me about stuff i should bring for an over night trip any tips or tricks will help thanks

Okay, okay I have a responsibility here so I better not go with that alone...
You're going to get all sorts of answers and invites. If you go with the bare minimum you'll be smiling more on the way back. If you have a place and general date in mind you might share that as it will help others give advice.
