Map Sale!

Postby GTG_AZH » Nov 13 2002 8:28 pm

REI is selling their USGS Topo maps for $.99, they are normally $6.99 .
They are going to discontinue carrying the paper maps and push the use of their NGS map machine.
Get 'em while they're hot.

Thanks for passing on the info. I'll be there tomorrow. I just hope there's a map or two left! 8)

A couple other sources of topo maps: the State Land Department, $4 each last time I was there.

Eros Data Center, on the web, $4+/- also

BLM Public Lands Informaiton Center, 222 N Central. They can custom print you a topo map with land ownership (public, state, forest, private) color coded overlay.

I like National Geographic Topo Maps on CD. $99 for an entire state, with shaded relief and a name lookup feature on the later ones.

$.02
