Stolen Car

Postby hippiepunkpirate » Feb 08 2012 9:42 pm

HAZers! My car was stolen last night from my apartment at 75th ave and the 101 in Glendale. Please keep an eye out and if you see it, please call the police. I only have liability insurance on it so I will get nothing if it isn't found! It's a white 1994 Saturn Coupe. Here's a pic of it, there are lots of bumper stickers on the back so it is easily identifiable. Thanks! -HPP

Who would steal a car with so many bumper stickers?
Fortunately, it seems like whoever stole your car was pretty stupid - hope it's found soon!

That really sucks. If it were me, I'd be frantic.

Uh, have you considered moving back to Flagstaff?

Or east of the I-17? Watch the news, almost all the [reported] crime happens in the "Avenues" side of town. There's some nice apt complexes around Frank Lloyd Wright and the 101 that aren't too expensive.

I can vouch for the Pinnacle at Union HIlls. Lived there for a year, Gym, Pool, Hot tubs. I miss it :(

Weak, Liz, weak.

Jake, if we were competing, you got some serious points on me. However, if one of our houses gets broken into and is trashed, they win. My money is on me for that one. Well, except you can't bet on yourself. Sorry to hear about the car. It's chopped, or south of the Border by now, and not in the fun, Sinatra way.
I think Monsoon season will begin around June 20, plus or minus 5 days, not by the calendar according to the NWS, but when dew points rise dramatically, and it begins to rain over the Sacramento Mountains. It will start about 10 days later in Arizona.

Well, you can do that pretty easily, but why go back there, when there are so many better locations either in the Valley, or the Tucson area?

SItRep - What is your situation in the meantime? Is the Insurance company providing a rental car? Do you need our help getting to Dr. appointments or important events? Let us know and maybe we can pull together to help you get through this tough stretch. Do you have a bike? I've got one gathering dust that I could loan you.

My insurance company won't provide a rental car since I only have the bare bones liability insurance on it. I do have a bike, so I can make it to work when my wife is unable to drive me. I think my mom is going to get a new car and give me hers so that will get me back on the road. Thanks so much for offering to help, if my situation was worse I would surely accept!

welcome, buddy.
Felecia's car was stolen and recovered after 10 months!
funny thing, it had a bad clutch/pressure plate spring that took literally 100# of force to engage.. and they drove it like that the whole time. ha!
