Mt. Humphrey question?

Postby SlyDog » Dec 18 2003 1:03 am

Hey! This is my first post here so bear with me haha. I'm going to be climbing Humphrey's this following week and want to make sure that the road up is open and also that the trail itself is. From what I've read it sounds like it is but don't want to drive up from Scottsdale to find it closed! :D Thanks!

It depends on what you call open. I think the trail is always open, just depends on how much snow you want to deal with.

You can check this link or call ArizonaSnowbowl on the phone number listed there.

You mihgt want to forget the trail. It might be too hard to follow. Just head up the ski area to the ridge. You are talking about a snow climb this time of year. For more info go to this page:

There are some people on this site that have already climbed it, in the snow, this year.
Mountains are there to be hiked!
