Piringa flava

Common Names:Tanager
Habitat:Pine Forests, Live Oaks. Resides in Mexico, spends the summers in parts of AZ, NM, and Texas.
Description:Male is orange/brick color, darker than a Summer Tanager. Female olive above, yellow below with orange tint to throat. Both sexes have dark bills and ear patch.
Comments:Summer Tanagers are more of a rosier Red. Hepatics have an orangeish tint to the Red.
