Common Names:Treefrog
Habitat:Montane streams, wet meadows, roadside ditches and livestock tanks. Occur mostly over 5000 feet of elevation. Most commonly found in Arizona above the Mogollon Rim extending south and east to New Mexico. Isolated populations exist in the Sierra Ancha, Huachuca, and Canelo Ranges.
Description:Fairly small, green or copper brown frog with a stripe through the eye that extends past the shoulder and may run continuously down the side of the Frog to the groin, although the stripe may break up some past the shoulder. Some dark spots may be sporadically present on head, upper back or lower back.
Comments:Eyestripe on Pacific Treefrog does not extend past the shoulder.
