Lithobates (Rana) pipiens

Common Names:Leopard Frog
Habitat:Freshwater sites from deserts to mountain meadows. From the northern Southwestern deserts stretching north into northern Canada. Only spotted populations along the Pacific and Atlantic Coasts.
Description:Slender green or brown frog with light dorsalateral ridges from head to groin. Spotted with a light stripe along upper jawline. No light center in eardrum.
