Anaxyrus boreas

Common Names:Western Toad

Habitat:Western U.S. with the exception of AZ and NM. Found near springs, meadows, woodlands, and streams.

Description:Lacks Cranial Crest, but has oval paratoid glands. Gray or Green with red, rust or orange tipped Warts, surrounded by dark blotches. May have a light, mid dorsal stripe.

Comments:Mainly nocturnal, but may be found in the daytime in higher elevations.
