Buteo nitidus

Habitat:Summers in Southeastern AZ and Southwestern NM. Winters in the Tropics. Riverside Woodlands of Cottonwoods, Willows and Sycamores.

Description:Small Hawk with Yellow Cere and Legs. Pale Gray above with finely barred Gray/White Underparts. Bold White Bands on Tail. Juveniles have Brown streaked upperparts with pale underparts, blotched with dark patches. Narrowly banded Tail.

Comments:Main diet of the Gray Hawk is Lizards.
