Tringa semipalmata

Habitat:Full-time resident of the South Atlantic States and along the Gulf Coast. Winters on the coast from Oregon south into California. Summers in the North Atlantic States, and Northern Great Plains. Fresh and Saltwater marshes, lakes and coastal beaches.

Description:Large Gray/Brown bird with long, thick, straight Bill. Gray legs. Dull looking on the ground, but bold Black/White markings when in flight.

Comments:Similar to a Greater Yellowlegs with large differences being in Bill and Legs.
