Import - Tested on version 4.2.3 Pull up the Import Wizard (Ctrl+I) 1) Click on header topic "Handhelds" (aka GPS Unit or external file related) 2) Click on Import (from GPS or .txt) Wizard... Window titled Step 1 (select the following option) In a text file that lists waypoints, routes, and/or tracks Click next Import - Choose a GPS Text File: 1) Change "Files of type:" to "All Files(*.*)" 2) Now navigate to your folder and select the .mwp file downloaded from HAZ Double click the file or click Open Window titled Step 2 Comma should have selected automatically You should see (readable) data in Line | Column 1 | Column 2 | Column 3 Click Next Window titled Step 3 1 should be Routes 2 should be NAD83 or WGS84 3 leave unchecked Click Next Window titled Step 4 do nothing Click Next Window titled Final Steps (this is the important part!) 1 leave marked YES You should see 3 colums of data Line # | LON | LAT Line#'s should be labeled "ignore" if not then click the label and select "ignore" The second column should be LON (similar to -110.32332 format) THIS MUST BE "Lon Degrees" however there are two that read "Lon Degrees" click the label and select "Longitude" and be sure DDD.ddd do the same for the third column except here it will be "Latitude" DD.ddd Click Finish A window with the waypoints should now be displayed and you can zoom in on the map to view them also
