Export - Tested on version 4.2.3 1) Upload your GPS data into TOPO! per their instructions 2) Use the Zoom Cursor (Maginfying glass with the + sign in the lens) 3) Hoover over your route/colored line and "right click" 4) In the popup window (make a mental note of the listed mileage) then click the "GPS Route..." button 5) In this new window we need to adjust 2 setting (options 1 & 2) 5.1) "Enter the number of waypoints to create along the route:" For this number roughly multiply your mileage by 50. ie: 5miles = 250 *** If you are limited to 100 points read the *** notes at the bottom 5.2) "Choose how you would like TOPO! to distribute..." Select "Evenly space the waypoints..." 6) Now we need to see the list of waypoints Click "View" in the header line and select "+ GPS Waypoint List" 7) Press and release the shift key (trust me) 8) Select the first waypoint in the list, then scroll down to the bottom using the slider bar. It's important not to click anything other than the slider bar. 9) Press and HOLD the shift key and select the last waypoint in the list. The entire list should now be highlighted blue. (if you're this far you're home free) 10) Hovering over the highlighted list "right click" and select "Open Export Wizard" 11) Select "To a text file" then Next 12) Option "Only the selected Waypoints in the GPS list" should be selected and click Next 13) "NAD 83 or WGS 84" should be selected then click Next 14) The format must be "Comma Delimited Text" then click Next 15) Type in a short generic name then save 16) The file you just saved is what you use for "Select a file to convert:" on HAZ *** How to change waypoint limit Select "Handhelds" from the header list and select "Change GPS Settings..." In front of "GPS" click the + sign to expand the menu Select "Reciever Type" Change "Max # of Waypoints per Route" to 2000
