We were going to the Supes but the rain scared us off so Wally took me over to Tom's Thumb. My first time up there. Nice hike. We went up Gateway Loop trail and back the same way.(with a mile detour) It turned out to be another cactus to clouds so to speak and the views were limited. There is a cool little spring on the way up and all the giant boulders are pretty cool too. We ate a quick snack at the top and then headed back down. We ran into Boone and Heather on the way down. The clouds opened and the views were getting better as we finished. Now the supes look good. ](*,) This hike worked out fine though and I got to meet a HAZ legend. :) Thanks to Wally for driving! :D
