We had a nice spring day. Spent a little time at the chalcedony quarry, looked for arrowheads, enjoyed the arch. Later took a break by a cliffside with some petroglyphs. Down to second water spring which as usual had plenty of fresh clear water. Met some snow birds at the Boulder Canyon Junction. They turned around as we proceeded to the Indian Paint Mine and explored. The weather started heating up on the climb up and out of Boulder. This is where the rocks are catching the full direct sun and the wild flowers were responding. Saw many flowers for the first time this spring on this trail. The first views of Canyon Lake are always a plus as the hike came to an end. We had set up a shuttle to complete the day. A very enjoyable day.
