hippiepunkpirate was down in the valley to tackle the Flatiron and I was able to join the fun.Seven of us met up at 5:30 and hit the trail within a few minutes. Three I had hiked with before three I hadn't. Always nice to meet Haz Hikers.It was a little nippy at first with a threat of rain. Some of us used lights until the slick rock then we could see enough without them. Nice hike up with overcast skies. Great views from the flatiron. Five of us took a short break then headed up to Peak 5024 while the other two checked out the Flatiron. The clouds started rolling in and our views became limited for awhile. We all meet back up at the saddle and headed back down. We made it down as far as the fence before it started raining. It only lasted a little while at first but started back up as we finished changing Bob's flat tire. Great hike. Nice to meet Jake,John,and Norm and hike with all of you!
