My son visiting on Spring Break from Michigan wanted to go out with the old man for a hike. We did the nice Goat Camp - Mesquite loop. Besides the fine weather and trail the most noteworthy sighting was a crested saguaro about 1.2 miles in...I think that's the first one I ever noticed outside of captivity.

BTW my GPS came up with 10.4 mi (4hrs 15min) for the G.C. trailhead to Mesq. trailhead loop and another 2.5 for the road walk...somewhat more than the Hike description
