I talked my Son into meeting me at the east end to leave my car and drive me to the west end and drop me off at 43rd and Estrella. Thanks Son! I started at 6:10. I saw some Poppies here and there for the first mile or so but they were still asleep. Nice and green out and had the trail to myself until I passed the intersection with the Ranger trail. This is where I saw a few more Poppies and the no more until a few in Pima Wash. The weather was great and the hike was good time.
