Took Maricopa Road to 238 and then the unmarked road right after MP-35. I do not recommend this route to anyone especially in a car... You won't make it! If you have 4X4 and are careful driver, with some luck, maybe you get there. The road is extremely damaged by many washes running through. In many places the shrubs are dense on both side of the road and surely will nicely screech the paint on your vehicle... :x

We started hiking at 6:45am (after 1hour and 45 minutes drive from 101/202 in Chandler) got to the top at 8:32am - waited on top for the friends to show up but they were nowhere in sight. Started to hike down, after 20 minutes, I found them... and again, started going to the top...

Got to the top twice in one day... not bad. The second time was kind of hard.

On the way down we explored the old mica mind - not much there to see... but it's a nice side adventure.

Got back to the car at 11:45am and home before 2pm. This time I drove through Goodyear and I-10 (it took extra 40 minutes) instead the " unmarked road" to 238.

If you going there I would recommend on coming down from the West side of Phoenix.
