Randy's triplog was quite thorough, so I'll make mine brief for a change. Even though we ended up with a loose "Plan C" type hike, it was very enjoyable. The weather while we were hiking in Collins and Grand Gulch was perfect - cool, breezy, crisp. Skies were blue, blue blue, and the scenery was out of this world.

The abandoned meander and the narrows were fun, and scrambling about trying to reach a high shelf with a tantalizing ruin was actually a great time - even if we didn't attain it. I was disappointed to miss the Valley of the Gods, but satisfied with my warm, dry bed and untroubled sleep. I'll just have to go back in the near future!
