| | | As mentioned in another trail description, there's a trailhead for the Wild Burro Trail off the Ritz (just drive up to the gates of the resort and tell them you are headed for the trailhead - they should direct you to a dirt lot next to the resort's paved one). I recommend this as the 1+ mile of wash walking this shaves off is worth it. We went specifically to find some wildflowers and were pleasantly surprised at a relative abundance of small, colorful flowers gracing the trail. My hiking partner and I both rued that we didn't have a wildflower book with us. There are patches of wildflowers that are quite heavy, but generally they were not too dense. I hadn't been hiking in Dove Mountain for a few months and was struck by how green and lush everything looked after a wetter than normal winter.
