I could not resist the temptation. I had to do the cross country scramble and traverse of The Four Peaks. I awoke early and found myself starting up the up the Brown's Pk trail at around 7:30AM. I recently relocated here from the wet environments of Washington's North Cascades and the peaks caught my attention after an earlier hike up Mazatzal Peak. Maybe I was homesick? I think I just needed movement and exercise. I was not disappointed as I am figuring out, learning and exploring all the unique wonderful landscapes in the Arizona mountains. Beautiful panoramas and views were found along the entire route. I liked the route finding between the peaks. I exited the gully between Pk#3 (7,572') and Pk#4 (7,524') and returned via Amethyst trail. Many smiles and lasting memories as I get to know Arizona.
