Took a couple of friends who are just starting to Hike up here for the views and for something that was not the smooth and flat they are used to. The winds of the last couple of days have really dried things up. This was an area that 3 weeks ago had some of the best wild flowers I've seen in the valley this year. The Desert floor that was green has faded to brown and the only flowers left to speak of were the Brittle Bush and Globe Mallow.

On the plus side, I did get some pictures of a good sized lizard of some kind.
