Great impromptu trip, combined with roaming around the Vermillion Cliffs. Went in from Corral Valley, sandy but a 2wd HC no problem with the base of the deep sand still damp from the wet winter. Got here late, good afternoon sun shots, then most of the next day with the camera. Fabulous place, took over 400 shots easily. Hiked around the area and took lunch under a big cedar tree in soft sand.
High noon sun softens the colors. It's a misnomer here, lots of rich reds, wonderful contrasts and textures.
