Finally got to meet Eric! We went back to his recent adventure to Crystal Falls or whatever you like to call it. You hike about two miles across a field of plants that look like lupine with beans? It's pretty flat loosing maybe 200ft. Then you zig down to the San Carlos river about 500ft below a questionable rock art display. It's pretty steep, yet the footing isn't too bad. Shorts are fine for this trip unless you really like pants.

Down at the playground, the highest waterfall is nice. The twisting, multi-tiered, multi-directional flow one a short distance down is the main attraction. You'll need to see it in person to fully appreciate. I found out my camera exposure dial was cranked to over exposure so none of the money shots came out. Gee darn - gotta come back sometime...lol

The water below the tiered falls is deep and incredibly clear. I almost jumped in before common sense kicked in that I'd freeze to death. It's very inviting! Next we headed down canyon to another section of falls. These low and wide falls probably see few visitors. Eric found some nice photo locations while I'll napped on the rocks. Fraley finally unleashed the clouds and it got chilly with a brisk breeze. We headed home.

Stopped at Burger House in Globe. The tacos are good albeit small portion. Do not eat the rice unless you love grits.

This is the tenth hike after the leg issue. It's tight from yesterdays hike but I couldn't pass up this opportunity! An hour into the hike it loosened up. Eight hours now after the hike it's tight again.
