Having just done Camelback, we found ourselves right next to Piestewa, and what kind of people would we be if we didn't show it some love? Took about an hour and five minutes getting up to the top. I felt pretty exhausted. There was practically no shade so the sun took its toll. I thought I was going to run out of water as well which was just another reason to turn back. Wound up having a liter so I pressed on. Stair after stair... Chuckwalla after Chuckwalla... It was so relieving to get to the top. Climbed up to where the marker was, got a picture, and headed back. I would love to play it off, but I felt pretty miserable on the way down. Sitting has never felt so good.

Note to self: If you're going on two "strenuous" hikes in one afternoon, eat more than a Clif bar and a glass of milk.
