I went to Prescott with Boone & seven other hikers to tackle Granite Peak. The morning was cool and the main trail was easy to follow. The grade isn't too steep so we were able to keep a good pace going. The wind was blowing up on the mountain which kept us cool. The spur trail up to Granite peak was a little difficult to follow but that didn't stop us for continuing. Once on the summit we ate and took some photos before scrambling back down to the trail. This is a nice area. I'm glad I finally got to hike it. I saw a gopher snake on the way out but not much other fauna. I got my "G" hike in now. :D
