I needed something not too difficult for short little white legs. I figured the bridge could work. We managed without too much trouble with plenty of slinging. Made slow time because (and rightfully so) every puddle had to have a rock spelunked in it.
I saw another Gopher snake (3 now in a month) not 2 minutes into the trail. Apparently it was little eyes' first time to see a snake. 3.5' long and right on the trail.
Getting in the water is not optional for me so that worked out well. Dipped around under a little fall for a while then moved on.
After doing the creek hike and back up we drove over to Preacher Cave for another "first time experince." Forgot how slippery it is in there for even big feet.
Good times.
